Sarah Feake, widow of Robert Feake, sells John Bowne twelve acres of land in Flushing with a share of fresh meadow No. 55. Eight acres of the above, originally purchased from Richard Stockton, are bounded by the land of Robert Terry, by "the woods" and the Common Path; four acres are to be allotted from the Common land. |

1. Robert Feake was the younger brother of John Bowne's wife Hannah Feake. 2. This deed was written and witnessed by James Clement, Flushing Town Clerk, who originally arrived in Flushing as John Bowne's indentured servant in 1663 and then assumed the office after finishing his six-year contract. |
